Is the MDI program cleared when the reset button is pressed?
Program blocks created in FANUC’s MDI mode are cleared after execution. How can you configure the system so that MDI program blocks are not cleared after execution or after pressing the reset button? Today, using this example, I’d like to share an NC parameter:
If you change parameter 3203#7 to 0 and then press the [Reset] button or run in MDI mode, the created program will not be erased.
Why can’t I edit the program again after running MDI?
After running MDI in the FANUC system, an error message appears when attempting to edit again: “Editing is not allowed.” You must reset the system before you can run MDI again.
If you are unable to edit the program again after running MDI, simply change
parameter 3203#5 to 0.
